INGREDIENTS
Base Preparation (Common to All Variants)
- 1 pre-cooked frozen chicken tender
- 1 hot dog bun, lightly toasted
- Mayonnaise, for spreading
PREPARATION
Air Fry the Chicken Tender
Preheat air fryer to 360°F.
Cook frozen chicken tender according to package directions, approximately 10–15 minutes, until hot and crispy.
Set aside.
Toast the Bun
Lightly toast hot dog bun in a skillet or toaster oven until warm and lightly crisp.
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise inside the bun.
VARIANT 1: BHHM BIRD DOG
Glaze
- 2–3 tbsp Blueberry Hot Honey Mustard Sauce (BHHM)
Toppings
- Shredded lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Thinly sliced onion
- 1 slice Swiss cheese
- Sesame seeds
Assembly
Toss crispy chicken tender in Blueberry Hot Honey Mustard until evenly coated.
Layer lettuce, tomato, onion, and Swiss cheese inside the toasted bun.
Add glazed chicken tender.
Finish with a light sprinkle of sesame seeds.
VARIANT 2: BCAG BIRD DOG
Glaze
- 2–3 tbsp Black Cherry Acapulco Gold Sauce (BCAG)
Toppings
- Pickled or fresh avocado slices
- 1 slice pepper jack cheese
- Thinly sliced green onions
Assembly
Toss crispy chicken tender in Black Cherry Acapulco Gold Sauce until evenly coated.
Layer pepper jack cheese and avocado slices inside the bun.
Add glazed chicken tender.
Top with green onion slices.
VARIANT 3: PPSS BIRD DOG
Glaze
- 2–3 tbsp Pineapple Peanut Satay Sauce (PPSS)
Toppings
- Pickled radishes
- Pickled onions
or fresh radish and onion - Diced jalapeños
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
Assembly
Toss crispy chicken tender in Pineapple Peanut Satay Sauce until evenly glazed.
Layer pickled radishes and onions inside the bun.
Add glazed chicken tender.
Finish with jalapeños and chopped cilantro.
SERVE
Serve immediately while the chicken remains crisp and the bun is still warm.
