INGREDIENTS
Chicken Wings
- 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats), patted dry
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Seasoned Pecan Crumbs
- 1 cup roasted pecans, crushed into a coarse meal
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Glaze
- 1 cup Blueberry Hot Honey Mustard Sauce (BHHM)
PREPARATION
Preheat and Prepare the Wings
Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
Pat chicken wings dry thoroughly using paper towels.
Lightly season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Prepare the Pecan Crumbs
Place roasted pecans into a bag and crush using the flat side of a meat tenderizer until a coarse meal forms with some texture remaining.
Transfer crushed pecans to a shallow dish.
Mix in:
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
In a separate bowl, beat eggs until smooth.
Coat the Wings
Dip each wing into the beaten egg mixture.
Allow excess egg to drip off.
Press wings into the seasoned pecan crumbs until evenly coated.
Shake off excess coating.
Air Fry the Wings
Lightly spray air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Arrange wings in a single layer.
Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry at 375°F for 25–30 minutes, turning halfway through cooking, until wings are crisp and fully cooked.
Glaze the Wings
Warm Blueberry Hot Honey Mustard Sauce in a saucepan or microwave until loosened slightly.
Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl.
Drizzle warmed glaze over the wings and toss gently until evenly coated.
Optional: add a small splash of water or apple cider vinegar for a thinner glaze consistency.
